Young Adult Mission to Budapest and Israel - April 23-May 5, 2017

 

Join us on a one-of-a-kind trip to Budapest and Israel.  Travel with like minded peers, hear insider briefings from top leaders, take part in hands-on volunteer projects and experience Jewish life abroad.

 

4 Nights in Budapest

  • Explore past and present Jewish life.
  • View city landmarks on a bike tour.
  • Master Hungarian cooking and grab drinks in the “ruin pubs” of the old Jewish quarter.
  • Take part in a volunteer project with Budapest’s young Jewish community.

 

7 Nights in Israel

  • Marvel at Jerusalem’s Old City and be dazzled by Tel Aviv’s beaches.
  • Commemorate Israel’s Memorial Day and celebrate Yom Ha’atzmaut, Israel’s 69th Independence Day.  
  • Experience first-hand the impact of our Federation’s work in our partnership region in the Upper Galilee.

Price: $2,500 (generously subsidized by Jewish Federation)

 

Does not include airfare from and returning to Vancouver. Includes accommodation, most meals, airfare from Budapest to Israel, and all guided tours and briefings. 

 

Registration:

  1. The first step is a $100 registration – this is refundable or can go towards the total cost of the trip. Click here to make a deposit.
  2. A $500 non-refundable installment must be paid by November 30th, 2016.
  3. The remaining balance must be paid February 28th, 2017. This can be paid in installments leading up to this date.

 

Who is this trip for?

Vancouver Jewish young adults in their 20s and 30s. Non-Jewish partners or spouses are welcome to join. This is a great group travel opportunity and a chance to experience Budapest and Israel in-depth, beyond the tourist attractions.
